Om Sai Ram ! Happy Guru Poornima
In the Bhakthi scriptures of Hinduism, there is only
one creator of the infinite cosmos, who is supreme
and eternally divine. There are infinite Jivas (SOULS)
all bound by the ignorance of Maya. For Mukti ?
redemption of maya, the Jivas best and only way is to
accept and surrender at the feet of Paramatma and
then to serve and offer humble devotion to Him. The
devotee will never become God. Bhakthi remains the
status quo before and after redemption and thereby it
becomes the means and the goal.
The true ideal to succeed in life, is to attain
Sthitapragna or Gunatit state which means realisation
of God. Such inspiration can only be attained from a
true Guru the Satpurush. One such Satpurush is our
Shri Sathguru Shirdi Sai Baba.
Worshipping Guru’s Murti plays a fundamental role in
cultivating the redemptive attributes in the disciple. It
helps us in liberating our souls.
A Guru in simple terms means a Teacher.Anyone from
whom we learn something is a Guru. The word Guru is
specially reserved for a spiritual master.
In Sanskrit, we can split the word as Gu (Ignorance or darkness)
and Ru (Knowledge or light). One who leads the aspirant
from darkness to enlightenment is a Guru. Every individual
needs a Guru for guidance on the spiritual path.
We cannot progress far on our own efforts.
